9 Months

Weight: 18 lbs 12 oz (49%)

Height: 27 1/2 inches (49%)
Head Circum: 44.8 cm (74%)

Katie-bug did awesome today at the doctor. She had to get a finger prick to check her iron levels. It needed to be above 31% and she was at 40% so we were VERY happy about that. She also got a flu shot which made her cry but hopefully she won't get the flu this season. Dr Doug said she can also get the Swine Flu shot in October so our lucky girl will get another shot. Developmentally he said she is doing awesome and above average on a lot of things. Her soft spot is completely gone and he said about 50% of kids will have it gone by the time they reach 18 months so she was really speedy at that. She sits really well, crawls super fast, pulls herself up all the time, loves to crawl up the stairs, and loves to walk holding onto any willing person. We expect her to be walking in the next month or two. Dr Doug also said he can feel a couple of teeth coming on the bottom so probably in the next month or two she'll finally get some teeth too! She gets to transition to whole milk in the next month and he wants us to start transitioning from a bottle to a sippy cup so the bottle can be gone by a year. She has started using a sippy cup but has trouble lifting it high enough to drink out of it on her own sometimes.

She is sleeping awesome at night and we pretty much have a routine down during the day where she takes about an hour nap at 10:30 after the gym (very nice so I have time to shower and get ready) and then she takes an afternoon nap usually anywhere around 1 or 2 for 1-2 hours. She gets more and more cute each day and we just love her to death!
